FORS Gold Standard Operator

Ashville Aggregates Ltd is happy to announce becoming a Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme – FORS Gold Standard Operator.

Ashville Aggregates was established in 2014 by Director Daniel Louisy. The company started with one lorry at the time of incorporation, which our director drove himself after having secured his class 1 & 2 licences. As demand increased our fleet did also and we currently provide service with 12 HGV’s. We are now happy to announce Ashville Aggregates are now acknowledged as a FORS Gold Standard Operator.

Our director achieved his CPC qualification and became the company’s CPC holder (Transport Manager). We then upgraded from a Restricted Operator Licence to a Standard National. FORS was next on the list for us on the journey to becoming a quality business, recognised for its quality standards.

Progression has been swift and following achievement of Bronze accreditation in March this year the team secured Silver status at the end of May. Daniel driven by the highest quality service standards felt that Gold Accreditation should be next step for the growing business. “FORS was the obvious next step to becoming a quality business. I believe Gold accreditation will enhance our reputation in the industry. Firstly, because of the status and prestige associated with the badge displayed on the back of our trucks and secondly, through the competitive edge, we hope will be gained when competing for work,” remarks Daniel

To be proactive and forward thinking in our business approach, to gaining a foothold in the industry we have fitted all the vehicles with Crossrail compliant safety features. “Our ongoing aim is to work towards the highest standards in our industry. Gold accreditation is something that will help consolidate the business and demonstrate our commitment to the industry and the Scheme. Going forward, Ashville Aggregates aims to continue to work towards the best service practice in our industry with FORS Gold accreditation seen as the “icing on the cake” which underpins all the ambitions we have for the future,” says Daniel.

We approached the FORS Gold Standard Operator accreditation process with the highest importance. It is important for both our business and our existing/future customers. We are happy to announce that following the rigorous and strict process we are now proud holders of FORS Gold Standard Operator Badge.

Waste Management Through Skip Hire London

On any sized construction project, the waste management is a key factor in how efficiently the site is run. We offer Skip Hire London to both the commercial and domestic markets.

We offer an 8 yard skip solution for all your waste requirements. These sized skips are perfect for all sized projects and waste materials.

For large excavation projects, we offer grab boxes. These are 20 yard skips with plates fitted to each side to make them taller. A grab box would remain on site for the duration of the excavation providing a perfect location for the waste material. As you excavate, the material is placed in the grab box and grab hire is used to remove the debris from the site.

Our skips can be placed on private property or the road if permissions have been agreed with the local authority in advance. In most cases we can apply for the permit. However, some boroughs require the end user to apply directly.

For sites and projects with limited space, we offer a wait & load service in which you have 30 mins to load the skip with waste before we take it away.

Ashville Aggregates are happy to introduce the new addition to the Fleet. The 4×2 Mini Grab Lorry or as the team affectionately refer to it ” The Baby Grab”.

Our 18 tonne Mini Grab lorry is suitable for muck away, excavation arisings, soil, hardcore, bricks and green waste and rubbish removal and is especially ideal for accessing tight, difficult to get at areas.

Over the past 2 years, we have been inundated with calls asking if we had a smaller grab lorry. In the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, a number of new width restrictions are in place, which mean 8×4 lorries cannot use the roads. While this is created to improve traffic flow on smaller streets, it creates an issue for the construction and waste management industry. A cobbled mews has always posed a challenge for 8×4 Grab Hire. With the introduction of the Mini 4×2 Grab Lorry to the fleet, we are able to provide service for both the construction and utility industry.

The 4×2 wheel configuration means the lorry has a much smaller turning circle, smaller cab and shorter body. The crane reach is reduced, but the bucket is the same size as it larger 8×4 brother. The first test of the usability of the mini grab loader was a project in Chelsea, in a mews which is located within the Cadogan Estates. There is a sharp turn when entering the mews which is not wide enough for two cars to pass each other. Either side has operation garages and outside the site is a grab box surrounded by hoarding. The Mini Grab makes light work of this, entering and leaving the site within 20 minutes!

We work 7 days per week, 24 hours per day. We offer a price per load, which is usually favoured by the construction industry and day/night rates for utility & civil companies. Generally, we can provide service on the same or next day.
