Reject Sand

Reject Sands Supplier:

Reject sand, otherwise known as fill sand or dug sand is a clay-based sand that has a minimal aggregate content. Similar to sharp sand, it is a highly cost-effective aggregate used commonly in the utility industry.

Keeping in line with our policy of recycling, reject sand is often recovered from sites where other aggregates have been used, bought back to our headquarters and carefully screened and treated. It is normally sourced from a variety of different sites and locations, such as groundworks sites or large excavations.

Reject sand is ideally used for coverage of pipes, electrical cables or other potential hazards associated with incoming services. It is often referred to as fill sand as it acts as a cost-effective filling material.

Reject Sands main uses are:

  • Coverage of Cables and Other Hazards
  • Filling

1 tonne can cover approximately 8-10m2 with 50mm depth.

Reject Sand is typically delivered via 8×4 or 4×2 Grab Hire or Tipper Hire. Between 5 – 15 tonnes can be delivered via a Grab lorry and 20 tonnes via Tipper.

Ordinarily we can provide Reject Sand on a next day basis. We charge per tonne and operate 7 days per week. Night deliveries are also available for utility companies and local authorities. We take great pride in our fleet of lorries and all are maintained and cleaned regularly.
