Type 1 MOT- Limestone & Granite:

MOT type 1 is made from finely crushed limestone, which is certified to meet the approval of the Department of Transport Specification for Highway Works, Clause 803.

Other modern variations of Type 1 MOT include those made from finely ground granite. Type 1 MOT varies in size, from 40mm right down to dust. It compacts well, creating a solid base, which makes it a perfect sub base for small and large applications.

This Type MOT is the most well-graded granular sub base material. It is an established and verified element that has been used for many years as a main base layer material. Type 1 MOT is known for being stable and durable, both immediately and long-term.

1 tonne of Type 1 approximately covers 10.1 square metres with a depth of 50mm.

Type 1 MOT is typically delivered via 8×4 or 4×2 Grab Hire or Tipper Hire. Between 5 – 15 tonnes can be delivered via a Grab lorry and 20 tonnes via Tipper.

Ordinarily we can provide Type MOT 1 on a next day basis. We charge per tonne and operate 7 days per week. Night deliveries are also available for utility companies and local authorities.
